The DRS 5000 is a low price, high quality microfilm reader, scanner, printer for roll film and microfiche. The DRS 5000 brings affordable compact digital microfilm scanning to every microfilm media user.  It is well suited for public use areas such as, Universities, Archives and Libraries. A single USB 2.0 connection to a computer provides full power to the DRS5000. It allows researchers to scroll through microfilm or microfiche. They can easily zoom out for a full page or zoom in for enlarged detail. A single press of a button will capture the image instantly making it immediately available to save, print, email or transfer to CD or USB flash drive. With a wide variety of easy to change carriers the DRS 5000 will readily accept 16/35mm rollfilm, 3M Type cartridges, microfiche, aperturecards and micro-opaque cards.

The high quality ZOOM lens accepts reductions between 7x and 48x confirming its versatility as a reader, scanner, printer. Its standard 360 degree image rotation takes it to a higher level. The light source is not the typical hot halogen bulb requiring frequent replacement.  the DRS 5000 uses a cool running, long life flourescent bulb with a projected life cycle of ten + years.

The DRS 5000 image quality at 3.6 Mega-pixel provides superior digital image con-

version of film, fiche, opaque micro cards for viewing, printing and distributing. Multi-

format versatility provides the flexiblity of viewing both negative and positive images

on film based media. The handguided carrier is available for viewing microfiche, jackets, opaque-micro or aperture cards. Optional configurations accomodate 16/35mm roll film

3M cartridges and ANSI cartridges as well. Once an image is on-screen, you can ZOOM

into a specific area or CROP any portion of the image. Manual image rotation is

included for ease of viewing  "CINE" format images. Images can be saved as a digital

file or sent directly to any printer connected to your PC.
