Using the ScanPro-35 to Scan Well Logs
and Strip Charts to your PC
The "ScanPro-35" is a low cost scanner for
scanning well logs, strip charts, and large sized images
(engineering drawings,
plot maps, newspapers, etc.) that are stored on microfilm.
The ScanPro35 makes
it possible to scan these images in segments and the Auto ImageAssembler software,
included in the purchase,
automatically combines the individual scans into a single
seamless image.
You simply follow the step-by-step instructions right on your
computer monitor to scan as many
segments of the Well Log image as you want and
the included Auto ImageAssembler software
automatically assembles them into a
final seamless image on your computer.

Engineering Size Images Stored on Microfilm
The most common film formats
for storing engineering size images and newspapers on microfilm are
aperture
cards and 35mm roll film. This example shows a large image that is too BIG to fit
on the VIEW SCREEN
and will require two scans to cover the entire microfilm image.
The Auto ImageAssembler software will automatically combine those scans into
a single final image.
Using the ScanPro 35 to Scan Microfilm Images Too Large to Fit on the Scanner
Viewing Screen.
If you have large size images on your microfilm, they
may not fit on the view screen making it
necessary to move the film carrier to
see the entire image.
With the ScanPro35 you can scan these separate views and
have the Auto ImageAssembler Software
automatically put them together into a
seamless single image. The step-by-step instructions are shown
on your PC monitor,
making it easy and convenient to scan microfilm.

~ Locate the LEFT side of the image on VIEW SCREEN and Scan
~
~ Locate the RIGHT side of the image on VIEW SCREEN and Scan

~ Auto ImageAssembler Software Combines the TWO Scans Providing A Finished Single
Scan
Examples of large film images are engineering drawings, architectural drawings
and newspapers.
The unique "Auto ImageAssembler Software" is the secret
that makes it possible to scan
images that are larger than will fit on the scanner
VIEW SCREEN. Most film sizes can be
scanned in two scans and the "Auto ImageAssembler
Sofyware" produces a seamless final scan.
